Structured Lessons, Not Guesswork In A Busy City.
Eager To Start teaches manual driving in and around Norwich with the same rule used for towing: measure the basics before increasing speed, complexity or distance. A learner lesson may be two hours on clutch control, junction judgement and mirrors before the ring road is useful. An intensive course may begin with a 90 minute assessment, because selling 20 hours to a pupil who needs 30 is not efficient, kind or safe.
The school works within an 18 mile radius of Norwich city centre, including Costessey, Sprowston, Taverham, Wymondham, Hethersett, Acle, Blofield, Long Stratton and nearby villages. Trailer tuition uses the same practical thinking: coupling checks, plated weights, nose load and brake feel before reversing practice, then road work only when the rig is lawful and under control.
“Fast only works when the basics are measured first.”

Owner note
Why Blocked Diary Time Is Calmer.
Mark Ellison founded Eager To Start in Norwich in 2017 after several years instructing for a regional school and seeing how often intensive courses were sold as a rush rather than arranged as a routine. Properly blocked diary time does not make a pupil more frantic. It usually does the opposite. The car is already booked for the next step, the previous fault is still fresh enough to fix, the manoeuvre bay is not treated like a surprise, and the instructor is not trying to rebuild confidence from scratch every seven days. A half-day can include a difficult roundabout, a stop for notes, the same roundabout from another direction, then a quieter road where the decision can settle. That is not hype. It is just a cleaner way to learn when time is short and the basics have already been checked.
